Moved to 25NL half way through the month. Generally feel more comfortable than I did at 10 which is bizarre. Win rate not fantastic but managed to sabotage my results with a few sessions of mega-tilt. My tilt capacity is worrying. Didn't think I was capable of such bad behaviour and play. Mr. level headed normally - so I am. In the end I decided that I had allowed work pressures to carry over to the tables.
I had a rethink (previous post) and feel a lot calmer now. Big thing is not taking my ego to the table and trying to stay as emotionally detached as possible. And another thing - there is absolutely no point in starting a session when I am very tired, or not in the right frame of mind.
Also played between 2 & 4 tables and I am now finally, finally convinced that while I am learning, 3 tables is optimal. Any more and I don't focus enough on villains and their tendencies.
As a result of this blip my volume has not been great this month but I have been working away from the table and think I am starting to notice small improvements in my game.
Finaly, I have hardly taken any exercise for the last 6 months which has been ----EV. So this week I have started to punish my rowing machine. Next week - once my garage is tidied up I am planning to start hitting the weights again.
Here's to good decision making in July!
Oh and nice to see a brit having some success
